Engine 52- 3000 gallon Sutphen pumper tanker

Engine 52 is first out for all structure fires and second unit to respond on car accidents and car fires.  Engine 52 was put in service in May 2023 and responded to 44 calls for service in 2023.  Engine 52 seats four firefighters. Increased availability of water will help to reduce ISO ratings when the township is reviewed next.   Engine 52 was purchased in January of 2023 from Independence Township who provided us the engine at their 2020 pre-purchase price of $745,000.  This interdepartmental / intergovernmental cooperation saved the taxpayers over $166,000.

Engine 51- 2015 Spartan / Spencer engine/ rescue

This pumper rescue is a multifaceted unit allowing for crews to preform vehicle extrication with the Jaws of life paired with vehicle stabilization equipment and airbags.  E-51 responded to 43 calls for service in 2023.  The engine holds 1000 gallons of water and has a Compressed Air Foam system (CAFs).  We also have our technical rescue equipment (swift water and ice water rescue equipment.

 

 Projected replacement 2041 at a cost of $1.8 million.  

Tanker 54- 2000 Wolverine on an International chassis

Tanker 54 has 3000 gallons of water with a 500 gallon a minute pump, two cross lays, and three quick dumps. This Tanker is used for outside the urban service boundary and responds on mutual aid calls. Tanker 54 has no scheduled replacement date.

Brush 53 - 2000 Ford F250 standard cab pickup.
Brush 53 was placed in service 2001.  Brush 53 has a slide in skid unit with 200 gallons of water paired with a 30 gallon minute pump with dual hose reels. This unit is utilized for wild land fires, wires down calls, and and any calls off road. We have no scheduled time for replacement.

UTV 57-  2018 Can am Defender XT HD10 

UTV 57is a  muti functional and is equipped with
a 50 gallon water tank, 30 gallon minute pump,
and o ne hose reel. This unit also allows for patient
movement for off road situation allowing them to
sit in one of the four passenger seats or be
transported lying down on backboard or stokes
basket on the rear of the UTV.
